Delete a defining or descriptive attribute


Procedure

  1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

  2. Open the Catalog Entry Search page:

    • Click Merchandise > Find Catalog Entries

    • Click Products > Find Catalog Entries

  3. Find the product.

  4. Select a field in the product row.

  5. To delete a defining attribute:

    1. From the Actions menu, click Defining Attributes. A list of available defining attributes for the product displays.

    2. Select the defining attributes to delete using the check box to the left of the attributes and click Delete.

    3. If SKUs are defined, remove SKUs such that only SKUs with unique sets of defining attributes remain by selecting the SKUs and clicking Delete.

    4. Click Save to save the changes.

  6. To delete a descriptive attribute:

    1. From the Actions menu, click Descriptive Attributes. A list of available descriptive attributes for the product displays.

    2. Select the attribute to delete using the check box to the left of the attribute and click Delete.

    3. Click Save to save the changes.


What to do next

If the changes to the catalog data do not display in the store, the Site Administrator might need to remove the currently cached JSP pages.
