Changing a descriptive attribute
Descriptive attributes are attributes used to define additional information about a product, but not to resolve SKUs.
Procedure
- Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
- Open the Catalog Entry Search page:
- Click Merchandise > Find Catalog Entries
- Click Products > Find Catalog Entries
- Find the product.
- Select a field in the product row, and from the Actions menu, click Descriptive Attributes. A list of available descriptive attributes for the product displays.
- Click the field containing the information want to change. The background for the selected field is highlighted.
- Type the changed information. You can make the following changes:
- Details tab: name, type, value.
The attribute type cannot be changed.
- Description tab: name, description, and sequence.
- Custom tab: name, usage, image, and a customizable field.
- Click OK to save the changes.
What to do next
If the changes to the catalog data do not display in the store, the Site Administrator might need to remove the currently cached JSP pages.
