Changing the default stereotype style for shapes

In UML visualization, you can change the default stereotype style that appears for shapes when you add shapes to a diagram or create new diagrams.

Note: This default setting affects only new shapes that you add to a diagram and does not affect any existing shapes.

To change the default stereotype style for shapes:

1. Click Window > Preferences

2. In the Preferences window, expand Modeling, expand Appearance, and click Shapes.

3. On the Shapes page, in the Stereotype style list, select one of the following options:
   • To display shape stereotypes with decoration icons and text in double angle brackets (<< >>), click Decoration and Text.

   • To displays shape stereotypes with decoration icons, click Decoration.

   • To displays shape stereotypes with shape image-based icons, click Shape Image.

   • To displays shape stereotypes with text in double angle brackets (<< >>), click Text.

   • Not to display any shape stereotypes, click None.

4. Click OK.
