Changing the default setting for drop shadows of shapes

In UML visualization, drop shadows of shapes appear in diagrams by default. You can change the default setting for shapes not to show drop shadows.

Note: This setting is global and impacts the existing shapes in a diagram and shapes that you add to a diagram. The shape drop shadow functionality is available only in Windows environments.

To change the default setting for drop shadows of shapes:

  1. Click Window > Preferences.

  2. In the Preferences window, expand Modeling and click Appearance.

  3. On the Appearance page, under Global Appearances, clear the Show drop shadow check box.

  4. Click OK.
