Creating IDEF1X notation diagrams
In UML visualization, you can create database diagrams in the IDEF1X (Integration Definition for Information Modeling) notation to examine and design your database applications.
To create an IDEF1X notation diagram:
- In the Data perspective, in the Data Definition view, right-click a database project; then click New IDEF1X Diagram.
- In the New Data Diagram wizard, select the parent folder (database project) and type a file name.
- Click Finish.
A IDEF1X notation database diagram is created and opens in the diagram editor.
Note: The parent folder must be a database project; otherwise, the Palette does not open in the diagram editor. You can also create database diagrams from the Navigator or Database Explorer views.
