Preferences for the Web diagram editor

This documentation describes the Web diagram editor preferences that you can set from the Preferences menu (Window > Preferences).

The following table describes the general preferences for the Web diagram editor (in the Preferences menu, select Web Diagram):

Preference	Description
Graphical connection format	The type of line that the Web diagram editor displays for a realized or unrealized connection (see Web diagrams and the Web diagram editor)
Delete resource when deleting graphical representation	One of the following actions that the Web diagram editor will take when you delete a part from the free-form surface: Deletes the part's underlying resource Does not delete the part's underlying resource Asks you whether to delete the part's underlying resource
Snap settings	Settings for the alignment grid, including "Snap to geometry," which lets you draw an arbitrary line to which nearby nodes will snap
Ruler settings	Whether to show a ruler at the top of the Web diagram, and what unit of measurement to use in the ruler
