Verifying your database user registry
After configuring security with a database user registry, use this information to verify that your database user registry has been properly configured.
Perform the following steps to verify your database user registry configuration:
- Open a Web browser and enter the page URL...
http://hostname.example.com:10038/wps/portal...where 10038 is the default transport port that is created by WebSphere Application Server. This value is also stored in the WpsHostPort property in...
- Windows and Linux:
portal_server_root/config/wpconfig.properties
- i5/OS:
portal_server_root_user/config/wpconfig.properties
If you customized the page URL, for example by modifying the base URI portion of the default URL (wps) or the page (portal), be sure to enter your customized URL.
- WebSphere Portal Express should load in the browser.
If you get an Internal Server Error, WebSphere Application Server might not have completely started yet. Wait a couple of minutes to ensure that WebSphere Application Server has completely started and try to access the page again.
- Verify that you are still able to log in as the administrator now that security is enabled. Click Log in and then enter the administrative user ID and password. Click Log in again.
