Find objects

Use the Management Center find area to locate objects for each tool within the Management Center. Search results are listed in the main work area.

Procedure

  1. Open a Management Center tool.

  2. From the find area at the top right, type a search string in the search field, select from a list of object types, and click to run the search. The system performs a search on all of the languages that are supported in the store, based on your search criteria.

You can use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard at the beginning or end of a search string. For example, *ABC or ABC*. Searches that begin with a wildcard are slower than searches which end with a wildcard. You can search for special characters (&, %, #, @, and so on).

The Catalogs tool simple search supports the use of commas (,) to search multiple search terms simultaneously. Use the comma to separate search terms for products, SKUs, bundles, kits or all catalog entries. Use the wildcard (*) while using the comma in the same search. For example, to search for a product called Pants, a product called Shirts, and all products starting with the letter "j", type Pants, Shirts, j* into the search field. This feature is only supported for simple searches. You cannot use multiple search terms when using the Advanced Search option.

To search for more than one category, specify the category names separated by a comma. For example, to search for the categories "Desk", "Furniture", and "Lamp", type Desk, Furni*, *Lamp into the search field.

The following table describes the object types that you can use to search within the Management Center tools.
