Deployment manager settings

Name

Specifies a logical name for the dmgr. The name must be unique within the cell.

Start components as needed

Select this property if you want the server components started as they are needed for applications that run on this server.

When this property is not selected, all of the server components are started during the startup process. Therefore, selecting this property usually results in improved startup time because fewer components are started during the startup process. If you are running other WebSphere products on top of the this product, make sure that those other products support this functionality before you select this property.


Process ID

Specifies a string that identifies the process.

Cell name

Name of the cell for the dmgr. The default is the name of the host computer on which the dmgr is installed with Cell## appended, where ## is a two-digit number.

Node name

Name of the node for the dmgr. The default is the name of the host computer on which the dmgr is installed with CellManager## appended, where ## is a two-digit number.

State

Indicates the state of the dmgr. The state is Started when the dmgr is running and Stopped when the dmgr is not running.
