Delete server templates
The steps below describe how to delete a server template that you no longer need.
Procedure
- In the admin console, click...
Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers, and then click Templates.
We can also use the deleteServerTemplate wsadmin command to delete server templates.
- Select the template to delete, and click Delete.
Results
The template you chose is removed from the list and cannot be used to create a new application server.

We can perform one of the following actions to display a list of the server templates that are still available on the system:
- In the admin console, click...
Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers , and then click Templates.
- Issue the listServerTemplates wsadmin command.
