Migrate product configurations with the migration wizard
The Migration wizard is the GUI to the WAS v8.0 command-line migration tools:
Migrating a WAS v6.x dmgr to a v8.0 dmgr moves all v6.x federated nodes to become v6.x federated nodes in the v8.0 cell.
If you are migrating a v6.x federated node that is part of a v8.0 cell, do not federate the node when you create it with the Profile Management tool but do be sure that the v6.x and v8.0 node names match. Migrating the v6.x federated node to v8.0 also federates the node.
