Request metrics allow you to track processing time of transactions as they pass through WAS components.

To enable...

1. From admin console...

   Monitoring and Tuning | Request Metrics

2. Select...

   Prepare servers for request metrics collection

   A server restart is required if not already selected.

3. Choose components to be instrumented
   • All
   • None
   • Custom
4. Specify how much data to collect.
5. Enable and disable logging.

6. Optional. Enable the Application Response Measurement (ARM) Agent.

7. Optional. Specify which ARM type to use.

8. Specify the name of the ARM transaction factory implementation class.
9. Isolate performance for specific types of requests
10. Add request metrics filters.

11. Go to...

    OK | Save

12. If enabling for Web server regenerate the plug-in

Application Response Measurement
Isolate performance for specific types of requests
Specify how much data to collect
Regenerate the Web server plug-in configuration file
Enable and disable logging
