WebLogic logging services use a logging implementation based on the Java Logging APIs, by default. You can direct the logging services to use Log4j instead.Note: You can enable Log4j for the server logger as well as the domain logger, which resides only on the Administration Server.
To specify the logging implementation:
- If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
- In the left pane of the Console, expand Environment and select Servers.
- In the Servers table, click the name of the server instance whose logging you want to configure.
- Select Logging > General, and click Advanced at the bottom of the page.
- In the Logging Implementation list box, select Log4j or keep the default, JDK.
For more information, see Log4j and the Commons Logging API.
- Click Save.
- To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center). After you finish
