Delete an IBM MQ server bus member definition
An IBM MQ server represents an IBM MQ queue manager or (for IBM MQ for z/OS ) queue-sharing group. We cannot delete an IBM MQ server bus definition directly. Instead, when you delete a specified IBM MQ server, you remove any associated IBM MQ server bus members, as well as assigned queue points and mediation points.
Decide which method to use to configure these resources. We can delete an IBM MQ server using the console as described in Delete an IBM MQ server definition, or using the deleteSIBWMQServer command.
When you delete an IBM MQ server definition, the deletion process also modifies the following associated resources:
- It deletes all IBM MQ server bus members that were created when the server was added to service integration buses.
- It un-mediates all destinations that were assigned to those bus members.
- It removes all queue points that were assigned to those bus members.
Delete an IBM MQ server definition does not affect the associated queue managers, queue-sharing groups, queues or messages on the IBM MQ network.
