Defining preview options
The preview options determines how content can be previewed. Preview
options are defined within the Previewing Options section.
- Select Allow Authors to preview content in a Web Page to
allow users to preview pages using the Web Content Management servlet.
- To allow users to preview content in Portal Pages,
select specific Portal Pages from the list located under Allow
Authors to preview content in the local Portal Pages selected below. The
Portal Pages displayed here are the pages available on the same instance of IBM® WebSphere® Portal Express as your Web Content Management application
is installed on. The selected Portal Pages must contain a Web Content Management Local
Rendering Portlet.
- To allow users to preview content in a portlet located on a different WebSphere Portal Express server, enter
the URL to the remote Portal Page in the Allow Authors to preview content
using the following URLs field. The Portal Pages entered here must contain
a Web Content Management Remote Rendering
Portlet.
Note: When using a rendering portlet to preview
web content, the rendering portlet should be configured to receive links from
"Other Portlets and This Portlet ". Otherwise the preview will not work.
