Adding a new server to the test environment
If a Process Server profile did not exist when installed the Business Monitor development toolkit, you might need to add the test server for the Process Server environment manually.
If you have installed Process Server on a different server, you can also add that other server to your test environment.
You might also want to add additional test profiles during development.
Procedure
To add a server to the test environment:
- Right-click in the background of the Servers view and select New > Server.
- In the New Server wizard, select the correct Business Monitor server type from the list, and click Next.
For example, if you are adding a new Process Server profile, select IBM Business Monitor Server v8.0 on IBM BPM.
- On the WebSphere Server Settings page, select the name of the profile for the Business Monitor server. Be sure that the profile you select has been augmented as a profile for Business Monitor using PMT. For testing, you will typically use an application server profile.
- If security is enabled, enter a user ID and password under Current active authentication settings.
- When satisfied with the settings, click Finish.
Results
The new server is available in the Servers view.
