KPI models

The key performance indicator (KPI) model is the part of the monitor model that contains the KPI contexts, which in turn contain KPIs and their associated triggers and events. KPI contexts can process inbound events, evaluate recurring wait-time triggers, and send outbound events.

  A key performance indicator (KPI) context is a container for KPIs and their associated triggers and events. Unlike a monitoring context, a KPI context has no keys or metrics. You must create a KPI context as a container before you can create KPIs.

  Key performance indicators (KPIs) are quantifiable measurements of the improvement or deterioration in the performance of an activity critical to the success of a business.

  You can use them to measure essential activities of your business so that you can see how these activities influence business results.
