Converting interface map components to mediation flows

Interface maps are deprecated. Support for interface maps may be removed in a future release. You can convert your interface map components to mediation flows.

To convert an interface map components to a mediation flows, follow these steps:


Procedure

  1. Open the module in the assembly editor.

  2. Select the interface map component, right click and select Convert to mediation flow.

  3. Click Yes on the confirmation window. The interface map is converted to a mediation flow.
  4. Double-click the mediation flow to open its implementation.

    The connections between the source and target operations are seen in the mediation flow editor:

  5. Click an operation to open its flow:

    A business object map primitive is created for the operation connection.

  6. Double-click the business object map to view the mapping details in the business object map editor.


Results

Although the interface map component no longer exists, the interface maps are preserved in the Transformations > Interface maps category of the module in the Business Integration view. You can drag an interface map from the Business Integration view onto the assembly editor to re-create an interface map component.
