Viewing CEI events
In IBM Integration Designer, you can use the Common Base Event browser of the IBM Integration Designer test environment to view generated Common Event Infrastructure (CEI) events. Using the Common Base Event browser, you can view detailed information associated with each event and determine if the events were correctly emitted.
Before you can view generated events, you must enable event generation and monitoring for the business integration components and elements that you want to monitor. This is described in the topics "Specifying event properties for component elements" and "Specifying event properties for components."
Important: The CEI database is not configured automatically.
After you have enabled monitoring, you can use the Common Base Event browser to retrieve and view one of the following event sets:
- All events
- BPEL process events
- User data events
- Server events
To open the Common Base Event browser...
Procedure
- In IBM Integration Designer, open the Servers view.
- In the Servers view, ensure that your IBM BPM server is running.
- Right-click the server and select Launch > Common Base Event Browser. The Common Base Event browser opens in the workbench.
