Locating the Configuration Files

Note

When referring to file and directory locations in this document, <install-home> is the directory where the Agent Controller package was unzipped.

Agent Controller Configuration File

The first step in administering the Agent Controller is locating the configuration files. The Agent Controller looks for serviceconfig.xml in one of the following locations:

An agent must locate the same serviceconfig.xml file as used by the Agent Controller it intends to communication with. It has the option of reading the location of the that file from a command line option called -serviceconfig. If that was not specified, it searches for serviceconfig.xml first in TPTP_AC_HOME/config and if not found there, searches relative to itself in ../config.

The location of the other configuration files can be specified in serviceconfig.xml. By default, look in the agent-specific directories under <install-home>/agents for agent.xml files and look in application-specific directories in <install-home>/plugins to find config/pluginconfig.xml files. Note that pluginconfig.xml files must reside under the /config directory.
