Adapter Configuration Editor

The Adapter Configuration Editor enables you to write rules for mapping your log file content to the Common Base Event format.

The following figure shows an adapter configuration file in the editor. The editor provides two panes:

• The left pane displays a tree viewer that maps to the adapter configuration file content. The pop-up menu on this pane can be used to create and update adapter content. In this figure, the topmost node in the tree shows the adapter root element, which contains contexts and configuration artifacts. Below the topmost node are the context instances.
• The right pane provides information on the elements that you have selected.
