Showing and hiding relationships

In UML visualization, you can update an open class diagram or selected classifiers by showing or hiding relationships that match your selected criteria.

Relationships must already exist between Java classes or interfaces before you can show or hide relationships.

Note: Hiding relationships removes the connectors from the diagram only. The underlying semantic relationships remain intact.

To show or hide relationships:

  1. In the diagram editor, select and right-click Java elements; then click Show/Hide Relationships.
Tip: It is not necessary to select any Java elements if you want to show all existing relationships.

  2. In the Show/Hide Relationships window, select or clear the types of relationships to show or hide.

  3. Click OK.
