Setting class loader policy for a WebSphere Application Server v5.x

When editing a WebSphere Application Server v5.x, you can specify the class loader isolation mode that you want to use for the application server.

1. Double-click on the WebSphere Application Server v5.x in the Servers view. The server editor opens.

2. Click the Configuration tab.

3. You can specify one of the following in the Application class loader policy field:
   1. SINGLE for J2EE application mode

   2. MULTIPLE for Compatibility mode

4. Save and close the editor.

Note: Setting the class loader policy for WebSphere Application Server v6.0 is no longer done in the server editor, you need to use the WebSphere Administrative console. For details, visit the WebSphere InfoCenter and search for the topic "Configuring class loaders of a server".
