Data preferences - SQLJ page
Use this page to set preferences for processing SQLJ files.
Only the SQL preferences are available on the SQLJ preferences page. All other preferences for Java editing are specified by Java editor preferences.
- SQLJ translator JAR file
- The full path and file name of the JAR file that contains the SQLJ class library that implements SQLJ translation support. If the DB2 Application Development Client is installed, the default value of this option is <db2home>/java/sqlj.zip (db2home is where the DB2 Application Development Client is installed); otherwise, the default value is blank.
- SQLJ translator class name
- The fully qualified package name of the SQLJ class used for translating SQLJ statements. If the DB2 Application Development Client is installed, the default value of this preference is sqlj.tools.Sqlj.
- Method for invoking SQLJ translator
- Determines whether to process all SQLJ files in one instance of the Java virtual machine. The DB2 SQLJ translator can translate all SQLJ files together in one process; however, the SQLJ translator for other databases might need a separate process for each file. If the DB2 Application Development Client is installed, the default selection for this preference is Direct call to translator class; otherwise, the default selection is Create a new process for every translation.
- SQLJ profile print command
- The name of the command to use for printing the contents of an SQLJ serialized profile in plain text. The name of the default command is db2sqljprint.
- SQLJ Java source folder
- The name to use for the folder that contains SQLJ Java source files. This preference is used only if a new source folder can be created. If the source folder and the output folder are the same, generated Java files are put in the same folder as SQLJ files. The default folder name is SQLJJavaSource.
- SQLJ customization script folder
- The name to use for the folder that contains SQLJ Ant scripts. The default folder name is SQLJAntScripts. This preference is used only when a new customization script folder is created. If the project already contains an SQLJ customization script folder, the SQLJ Ant scripts are stored in that folder.
- Color for SQLJ clause in editor
- Shows the color in which SQLJ statements are displayed in the Java code editor. To change the color, click the color button and then select a color from the palette in the Color window.
- Enable debugging from SQLJ file
- If selected, debugging occurs in the SQLJ file rather than the Java file. This check box is selected by default.
