Migrate permissions on All Authenticated Users and All Portal User Groups
On the current WebSphere Portal system, there are different ways to assign the permissions that other users and groups have on the defined groups All Authenticated Users and All Portal User Groups. For example, you can use the User and Group Permissions portlet, the Resource Permissions portlet, and xmlaccess.sh.
The steps below explain how to assign the principals to roles on the appropriate user groups using the Resource Permissions portlet.
- Log into the current version using an administrator account.
- Open the Resource Permissions portlet.
- Select the Resource type User Groups.
- Select the All Authenticated Portal Users option and analyze the existing role assignments on that user group.
- Use the Resource Permissions portlet to create the same role assignments on the new portal.
- Repeat these steps for All Portal User Groups.
