Granting taxonomy access

Specify the access control settings for the taxonomy to determine which users have access to the taxonomy and their level of access.

Users and groups can be assigned the roles of user, contributor, editor, or manager.

To grant users or groups access to an item:

  1. Go to the Access section of a form.

  2. To allow the item to inherit access roles from a parent item or library, select inherit against a role.

  3. To select specific users or groups instead of using inheritance, click either:

    1. Grant User Access.

    2. Grant Contributor Access.

    3. Grant Editor Access.

    4. Grant Manager Access.

  4. To add users or groups, click Add.

    1. Select either Users or Groups.

    2. Enter text to search for in the Search field and then click Search. Leave the Search field blank to display all users or groups.

    3. Select the required users or groups and then click OK.

  5. To remove users or groups, select the users or groups you would like to remove and then click Remove.

  6. To grant access to virtual users, use the drop-down beside the Grant Access buttons. Select from "anonymous portal user", "all authenticated portal users", "all users", "authors", "owners", and "creator".

  7. Then click OK.
