Confirming installation of Domino and Extended Products Portlets components
Verify the portal includes the .WAR files containing Domino and Extended Products Portlets and the .XML file that deploys the portlets and sample pages.
The installation program for WebSphere Portal installs the Domino and Extended Products Portlets onto portal pages.
The installation program adds the Domino and Extended Products Portlets listed below to the portal environment. Look for examples of the portlets in the following locations:
- On the Applications > Collaboration page when you click Lotus Notes and Lotus Sametime.
- On the Applications > Messaging page when you click Mail.
If the portal does not include portlets in these locations, perform the following procedure.
- Check the portal server for the presence of the following files. The .WAR files contain the parent portlets from which portlet instances deployed on the Collaboration page and the Messaging page are derived. Unless noted otherwise, look for the files in the following directory:
- Windows: PortalServer_root\InstalledApps\
- UNIX: PortalServer_root/InstalledApps/
- i5/OS: PortalServer_root_user/InstalledApps/

There are no required post-install operations for the Domino and Extended Products Portlets components.
However, if you plan to customize themes and skins in the portal, perform an additional task of specifying style sheets to preserve support for people awareness features.
