Searching a Siebel database
This topic describes the steps to follow to search a Siebel database.
- Add a copy of the builder to your model. Configure it to access your Siebel server, and specify the name of the builder and the Business Component you wish to access.
- Create a Query Page and a Search Results Page. Enable the Create Query Page check box. The Create Search Results Page check box is already enabled. Choose the fields you want to see in the summary view from the left-hand (Summary) column of the Field Choices table.
- Apply your builder changes and run the model. You should see a Query page that shows each of the summary selected fields for the selected Business Component. Enter zero or more key values and press the Submit button. The Search Results page will then be displayed listing all of the Business Component instances that matched the given values.
