About streaming the binary contents of a document to the browser
On a details page that displays the data of the document, you can add a "Download Content" link which downloads the content to the browser and automatically launches the application registered with the MIME type of the document. For an example of how to stream the document content back to the browser, see the sample ContentRepositoryExplorer.model.
