Requirements to use the Portal Document Manager Access builder

WebSphere Portal Version 6.0 or later is required.

You should be familiar with the Content Model in WebSphere Portal. Familiarity with Java Content Repository (JCR) and Service Data Objects (SDO) is also recommended. This builder acts against the Content Model running on the WebSphere Portal server configured in your project deployment information. The following requirements must be met:

• You must have a deployment configuration correctly configured for your project.

• You must deploy the project before you use this builder.

  The deployment allows the builder editor to retrieve metadata (for example, document types or properties) from the Content Model using an internal support model that is deployed with the project.

• Global Security must be enabled.

  If Global Security is not enabled, the builder cannot access the Content Model at runtime.
