Purpose

The Display Mode Description (DSPMODD) command displays a mode description for advanced-program-to-program communications (APPC) devices. Output is directed to a display or a spooled printer file as indicated on the OUTPUT parameter and job type.

Required Parameter

MODD
Specifies the name of the mode description.

Optional Parameter

OUTPUT
Specifies whether the output from the command is shown at the requesting workstation or printed with the job's spooled output. More information on this parameter is in commonly used parameters.

*: Output requested by an interactive job is shown on the display. Output requested by a batch job is printed with the job's spooled output.

*PRINT: The output is printed with the job's spooled output.

Example for DSPMODD

DSPMODD  MODD(CICS2)

This command displays information about mode description CICS2. If the command is entered from a batch job, the output from the display is printed with the job's spooled output.
