Purpose
The Display Mode Description (DSPMODD) command displays a mode description for advanced-program-to-program communications (APPC) devices. Output is directed to a display or a spooled printer file as indicated on the OUTPUT parameter and job type.
Required Parameter
- MODD
- Specifies the name of the mode description.
Optional Parameter
- OUTPUT
- Specifies whether the output from the command is shown at the requesting workstation or printed with the job's spooled output. More information on this parameter is in commonly used parameters.
*: Output requested by an interactive job is shown on the display. Output requested by a batch job is printed with the job's spooled output.
*PRINT: The output is printed with the job's spooled output.
Example for DSPMODD
DSPMODD MODD(CICS2)This command displays information about mode description CICS2. If the command is entered from a batch job, the output from the display is printed with the job's spooled output.
