DSPLOGBRM (Display Log for BRM) Command Description

DSPLOGBRM Command syntax diagram

Purpose

The Display Log for BRM (DSPLOGBRM) command displays the BRMS log. The BRMS log is a display by date and time of messages that BRMS has created as a result of processing. The DSPLOGBRM command allows you to display or print all or part of the log.

Example for DSPLOGBRM

Example 1: Displaying BRMS/400 Log Entries for a Date Range and Severity Level

DSPLOGBRM TYPE(*BKU)
PERIOD((*AVAIL *BEGIN) (*AVAIL *END))
SEV(20)

In this example the type of log entry is backup and the range of dates is from the beginning of the log to the end of the log. Log entries related to backups will be displayed in the Display BRM Log Information display that have a severity level of 20 or above.
