DLTLICPGM Command syntax diagram

 

Purpose

The Delete Licensed Program (DLTLICPGM) command is used to delete the objects contained in the licensed program.

 

Restrictions

  1. This command is shipped with public *EXCLUDE authority.
  2. To use this command, have *ALLOBJ authority.
  3. Some licensed programs can be deleted only if the user is enrolled in the system distribution directory.
  4. The licensed programs 5716SS1 *BASE (operating system) and 5716SS1 option 1 (extended base support) cannot be deleted.
  5. You must use the LICPGM menu to delete the secondary language library for the operating system and option 1 of the operating system.

 

Required Parameters

LICPGM
Specifies the 7-character identifier of the licensed program to be deleted. The user can select only one licensed program to delete.

Optional Parameters

OPTION
Specifies which of the parts of the licensed program specified on the LICPGM parameter are deleted. A list of options is in the Software Installation Link to PDF book.

*ALL: All of the optional parts and base parts associated with the licensed program listed in the LICPGM parameter are deleted.

Note: If licensed program 5716SS1 is specified, only the optional parts are deleted except option 1 (option 10 on a 9406 system). If any other licensed program is specified, all parts are deleted.

number-of-optional-part: Specify the number of the optional part of the listed licensed program being deleted.

RLS
Specifies which version, release, and modification level of the product is deleted.

*ONLY: Delete the version, release, and modification level installed for the product option.

*ALL: All installed versions of the product are deleted.

release-level: Specify the release level in VxRyMz format, where Vx is the version number, Ry is the release number, and Mz is the modification level. The variables x and y can be a number from 0 through 9, and the variable z can be a number from 0 through 9 or a letter from A through Z.

LNG
Specifies which national language version (NLV) objects are deleted for the licensed program specified on the LICPGM parameter.

*ALL: All NLV objects and program objects for the licensed program specified on the LICPGM, OPTION, and RLS parameters are deleted.

feature-code: Specify the NLV identifier of the language that is deleted. Only the specified NLV is deleted. The program objects for the product are not deleted. The IBM-supplied language feature codes are listed in the Software Installation Link to PDF book or can be displayed using GO LICPGM, option 20.

Examples for DLTLICPGM

Example 1: Deleting all Licensed Program Objects:

DLTLICPGM  LICPGM(5716WP1)

This command deletes all of the objects associated with the OfficeVision (5716-WP1) licensed program.

Example 2: Deleting Specific Licensed Program Objects:

DLTLICPGM  LICPGM(5716CB1) LNG(2929)

This command deletes only the German (NLV 2929) objects for all options of the ILE COBOL/400 licensed program 5716-CB1.
