Checking system status

 

You need to confirm that your Telnet is ready for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) sessions.

  1. Verify that you have the appropriate software installed to support Telnet SSL and to manage certificates:

  2. Verify that you have a secure Telnet server by associating a certificate with the Telnet server application QIBM_QTV_TELNET_SERVER.

  3. Ping your host system to verify that your TCP/IP connection and network status.

  4. Determine whether the Telnet server is started.

  5. Determine whether the Telnet server is configured to allow SSL connections.
