Configuring an interface

 

Now you need to configure a TCP/IP interface for your system.

To configure an interface, follow these steps:

  1. On the command line, type CFGTCP to access the Configure TCP/IP menu, and then press Enter.

  2. Select Option 1 (Work with TCP/IP interfaces) on the Configure TCP/IP menu, and then press Enter.

  3. Specify Option 1 (Add) to show the Add TCP/IP Interface display, and then press Enter.

  4. Specify the address value that you want to represent your system, the subnet mask address, and the line description name that you previously defined, and then press Enter.

To start the interface, specify Option 9 (Start) for the interface you configured, and then press Enter.
