Before using the sample data to test the WebSphere Commerce integration with Sterling Order Management, review the preconfigured business rules to determine whether they meet the needs of our own particular business scenario.

If the provided business rules meet your business needs, use the sample configuration to test your integration. If the business rules do not exactly meet your business needs, customize the sample data before you test the integration. For pricing and promotion, charge categories are configured as follows:

• Coupon

• CUSTOMER_APPEASEMENT

• Discount

• Handling

• Personalization

• PriceMatch

• Shipping

• ShippingDiscount

Pricing Organization Rules are configured as follows:

• Charge Category To Be Used For Applying Discount For Each Pricing Rule Type

  • Charge Category For Combination: "Discount"

  • Charge Category For Order Total: "Discount"

  • Charge Category For Shipping Surcharge: "Shipping"

  • Charge Category For Item Quantity: "Discount"

  • Charge Category For Ship Order Total: "ShippingDiscount"

• Charge Category To Be Used For Applying Discount Coupon For Each Pricing Rule Type

  • Charge Category For Combination: "Coupon"

  • Charge Category For Order Total: "Coupon"

  • Charge Category For Ship Order Total: "ShippingDiscount"

  • Charge Category For Item Quantity: "Coupon"

  The Charge Name for Shipping Charge is configured as "Shipping Charge."

WebSphere Commerce provides the following three sample carriers:

• Mail

• International Carrier

• XYZ Carrier

In the sample ValueMaps.xml, these carriers map to the followingWebSphere Commerce carriers:

• Mail = USPS

• International Carrier = UPSE (Europe)

• XYZ Carrier = USPN

WebSphere Commerce provides ShipModes. They are mapped in the sample ValueMaps.xml file:

• International Priority (UPSE) = Next Day Air

• US Regular Delivery (USPS) = Standard Mail

• International Regular (UPSE) = Ground

• US - 2-Day Express Delivery (USPS) = 2nd Day Air

• US - Overnight Delivery (USPS) = Next Day Air

Sourcing Rule configuration uses:

• Default fulfillment types

• Default sourcing rules

• Primary Information

  • ATP Monitor Rule = Aurora_ATPM1

  • ATP Monitor Rule Name = Aurora Default ATP Monitor

  • Lead Time Override (Days) = 0

  "Event Based ATP Monitor Rule" button is enabled

• Event Triggered Based On

  • High Quantity Boundary = 100

  • Medium Quantity Boundary = 10

  • Low Quantity Boundary = 1

• ATP Rule and ATP Monitor Rule attributes on all items in the catalog are set so that they inherit the ATP rules for the RTAM monitor.
