Uninstall WebSphere Commerce Developer fix packs with the IBM Installation Manager

You can uninstall WebSphere Commerce Developer fix packs using the IBM Installation Manager that you used to install WebSphere Commerce Developer. Fix packs contain fixes that correct known problems and hence might prevent a service call from being placed. Before uninstalling a WebSphere Commerce fix pack, review this information.


Before you begin

If you changed the database type after installing a fix pack, change the database back to the original type uninstalling the fix pack.


Procedure

  1. Open the IBM Installation Manager.

  2. Select an appropriate option:

    Option Description
    Uninstall

    • If you installed WebSphere Commerce Developer and a fix pack at the same time, this option removes both the fix pack and WebSphere Commerce Developer.

    • If you installed a fix pack after installing WebSphere Commerce Developer, use the Roll Back option.

    Roll Back Roll back reverses updates. If you used the Update option to apply a fix pack to an existing WebSphere Commerce development environment; then use this option to uninstall the fix pack. The WebSphere Commerce development environment is not uninstalled.

  3. On the Uninstall Packages page, select the packages to uninstall (for example, a fix fack to remove) and click Next.

  4. Review the summary information presented on the page. Click Uninstall.


What to do next

Republish the application:

  1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Developer and switch to the Enterprise Explorer view.

  2. In the Explorer view, select all projects and select File > Refresh (or the F5 shortcut key) to refresh the projects in the workspace.

  3. Start the WebSphere Commerce Test Server.

  4. Right-click the test server in the Servers view and select Publish.

  5. Wait for the application to finish publishing and to restart.

  6. Change the development database type using the setdbtype command.
