ProductAttributeUpdate URL
This URL updates an existing attribute. Note that the attribute type cannot be changed.
Restriction: This URL must only be used for updating defining attributes. Descriptive attributes are not supported.
URL structure
- http:// host_name/path/
- The fully qualified name of the WebSphere Commerce Server and the configuration path.

Parameter values
- attributeId
- Required: The reference number of the attribute. When the attribute ID is specified, the attribute with the specified attribute ID must exist in the store's default language. You are creating the same attribute in a second language. You must specify either attributeId, or catentryId combined with name.
- catentryId
- Required: The reference number of the catalog entry. You must specify either catentryId combined with name, or attributeId.
- name
- Required: The name of the attribute. You must specify either name combined with catentryId, or attributeId.
- desc
- A description of the attribute.
- desc2
- A description of the attribute.
- field1
- A customizable field.
- attrtypeId
- The reference number of the attribute type.
- descLangId
- The description of the language's reference number.
- usage
- The purpose of the attribute.
- URL
- The URL to be called when the command completes successfully.
Example
The following example updates attribute 10001 in the logon language for catalog entry 10001 and attribute name testAttributeInteger:

Behavior
- This URL updates an existing attribute. However, the attribute
type cannot be changed.
- If the attribute ID and a new language ID is supplied, then the same attribute of a different language will be created.
