Disable WebSphere Application Server security

You can disable WebSphere Application Server security.


Procedure

  1. Start the WebSphere Application Server administration server.

  2. . Launch the WebSphere administrative console

  3. For each server that is running the WebSphere Commerce application...

    1. Expand Security and click Global security.

    2. Clear the Enable administrative security check box.

    3. Clear the Enforce Java 2 security check box which is selected by default.

    4. Clear the Enable application security check box.

    5. Click Apply.

    6. Click Save to save the Master Configuration.

  4. Restart the WebSphere Application Server administration server. When you restart the WebSphere Application Server Administration Console, we will be prompted for a user name and password.

  5. Open the Configuration Manager.

  6. Select WebSphere Commerce > node_name > Commerce > Instance List > instance > Instance Properties > Security

  7. Verify the Enable administrative security check box is not checked.

  8. Verify the Enable application security check box is not checked.

  9. Click Apply.

  10. Close the Configuration Manager.
