Create an order for a registered customer
To create an order on behalf of a registered customer:
- Open WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
- Find the customer that you want to work with.
- Select the check box next to the customer that you want to work with, and click Place Order to create a new order. The Place Order wizard launches, displaying the Products page.
- Provide appropriate information for the fields and click Next to save each page. Click Back to return to the previous page, if necessary.
- When you have completed all pages, click Finish on the Comments page to create the order.
Notes:
- Customers need not use split order function in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator as they can maintain the same order with multiple releases in backordered case.
- Once an order has been prepared that means that the order is locked, the customer will be able to submit the order. Changes in prices, promotions, contracts, and so on, after the order has been prepared will not impact the order and its submission unless the order is re-prepared by the customer or the order lock has expired.
