Troubleshoot: Silent installation of DB2 Universal Database failed

Problem

The silent installation of the DB2 Universal Database failed, and you are unable to find the installation logs. The WebSphere Commerce installer failed to initiate the DB2 Universal Database silent installation process.

 

Solution

Verify that the DB2 Universal Database installation image is acceptable by completing the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the location that stores your DB2 Universal Database CD images.

  2. Extract the contents of the tar file to a temporary location.

  3. Launch the DB2 Universal Database installation wizard from this temporary location. Ensure that the DB2 Universal Database installation wizard launches properly.

    • If the DB2 Universal Database installation wizard does not launch properly, contact WebSphere Commerce support.

    • If the DB2 Universal Database installation wizard launches properly, retry the WebSphere Commerce installation.

Verify that the DB2 Universal Database installation image is acceptable by ensuring that you can manually start the DB2 Universal Database installation wizard.
