Change the WAS administrative user ID password

Update the password for the administrative user ID used to configure IBM Connections on WAS.

This is an optional procedure.

  1. Refer to information about Administrative user password settings in the WebSphere Application Server information center.

  2. WebSphere Application Server dmgr user ID only: Synchronize the nodes of the cluster to propagate the change.

  3. If the administrative user ID is used in any of the J2C authentication aliases, update the password associated with the alias. In the WAS administration console, select...

      Security | Global security | Authentication | Java Authentication and Authorization Service | J2C authentication data | alias name

  4. Change the value in the Password field.

  5. Apply and save the changes.

  6. Restart the servers hosting IBM Connections.
