Cluster member templates collection

Use this page to view the list of cluster member templates that exist for this cluster.

To edit the server properties of a template, click the name of that template.

Usually, only one template exists that you can use to create additional members for a cluster. However, if a cluster includes nodes that are at different versions of the product, a different template exists for each of these versions. For example, if a cluster has cluster members residing on both a v6.1 node and a v7.0 node, the cluster has two templates. The v6.1. template is used when you create an additional cluster member on the v6.1 node, and the v7.0 template is used when you create an additional cluster member on the v7.0 node.

If you modify a template, all new cluster members are created with the server property settings of the modified template. However, the property settings of existing cluster members do not change. If you make any change to a cluster member template, you should make the same change to all of the existing cluster members.

To change the server attributes of an existing cluster member, in the admin console, click...

Servers > Clusters > WebSphere application server clusters > cluster_name > Clusters members, and then click the name of the existing cluster member.

To view the cluster member templates that are available for creating a new member of a cluster, in the admin console...

Servers > Clusters > WebSphere application server clusters > cluster_name > Cluster members > cluster_member_name, and then click Templates .
