Process logs settings

Use this page to view or change settings for specifying the files to which standard out and standard error streams write.

To view this admin console page, in the admin console:

For an application server that is running IBM i or a distributed operating system, click...

    Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers > server_name

and then, under Server Infrastructure, click Java and process management > Process definition > Process logs.

For a dmgr that is running on IBM i or distributed operating system, click System Administration > Deployment manager, and then under Server Infrastructure, click Java and process management > Process definition > Process logs.


Stdout File Name

File to which the standard output stream is directed. The file name can include a symbolic path name defined in the variable entries.

Use the field on the configuration tab to specify the file name. Use the field on the Runtime tab to select a file for viewing. View the file by clicking View.

Direct server output to the admin console or to the process that launched the server, by either deleting the file name or specifying console on the configuration tab.
