Delete gateway instances

Use this task to delete gateway instances using the admin console.

We can delete a gateway instance by using the admin console as described in this task, or by using the deleteWSGWInstance command. When you delete a gateway instance, the following associated resources are also deleted:

The WAS v5.1 gateway used filters for tasks such as logging messages, transforming their contents or terminating an incoming request. When a v5.1 gateway that contained filters was migrated to v6, "StorageQueue" destinations were created to support existing v5.1 gateway filters in the v6 environment. These destinations are not used in v7.0 or later, but they are not removed automatically when you delete the associated gateway. For information about finding and removing these destinations manually, see the corresponding troubleshooting tip.
