Run the backupConfig command on the v8.0 dmgr

 

Step 8: Scenario 1: Migrating a cell using the command line tools

Save the v8.0 migrated dmgr configuration to a file.

This is an important step in the cell migration plan. If there are any node migration failures, the cell configuration can be restored to the point prior to the failure, remedial actions can be applied, and the node migration can be attempted again.

Procedure

1. Change to the DMGR_PROFILE/bin directory

2. Run the backupConfig command with the appropriate parameters and save the v8.0 profile configuration to a file. For example:

   /opt/WASv8/profiles/v61v8dmgr01/bin/backupConfig.sh /mybackupdir/
   v61v8dmgr01backupMigratedDmgrOnly.zip -username myuser -password mypass
