The Document Manager portlet requires some additional configuration after installation.

You might have multiple instances of Document Manager installed in a portal, and each instance can be configured differently. For example...

...might be set up to use a different document library than...

Document Manager B

To configure a Document Manager portlet:

  1. Navigate to the Document Manager portlet that you want to configure.

  2. Click the drop-down menu icon, then select Configure.

  3. Specify the following settings...

    • Show indicator for new documents
    • Include in Search Center
    • Enable document conversions
    • Enable portal editors
    • Enable browser plug-in
    • Enable folder tree
    • Enable Active Content Filtering
    • Maximum number of items returned in a list
    • When initially viewing a document, display first page
    • Specify the SMTP mail server
    • Configure the default root path for the portlet

Modified configuration settings take effect immediately.
