Multiple language encoding support in UDDI

Before you begin

UDDI API

UDDI V3 supports both UTF-8 and UTF-16 encoding. Internally UTF-16 characters are stored as UTF-8. This is transparent to the user application.

UDDI User Console

The UDDI user console only supports UTF-8 encoding. To enable this, configure the application server into which the UDDI Registry application is installed with UTF-8 encoding enabled. To do this, refer to "Configuring application servers for UTF-8 encoding" elsewhere in the WebSphere Information Center.
