Initiation queues

An initiation queue is a local queue on which the queue manager puts a trigger message when a trigger event occurs on an application queue. A trigger event is an event (for example, more than 10 messages arriving) that an application designer intends the queue manager to use as a cue, or trigger, to start a program to process the queue. For more information on how triggering works, see Starting WebSphere MQ applications using triggers.
