Changes for this edition (GC34-6600-00)

The maximum length of a message that we can put onto a shared queue has been increased to 100 MB.

A new VERIFY QSG utility has been introduced that validates the consistency of the DB2 definitions for queue managers, Coupling Facility structures, and shared queues. This will allow faster and more accurate problem determination in this area.

A new MQSC command, DISPLAY CONN, has been introduced. This command provides information about which applications are connected to a queue manager, and information to help you to diagnose those that have a long-running unit of work.

The program number of the product has changed. You will need to use the new program number when building keyword strings to describe a failure in WebSphere MQ for z/OS.

The Application Messaging Interface (AMI) is no longer part of the main WebSphere MQ for z/OS product. It is now available as the "MA0F MQSeries Application Messaging Interface" SupportPac.

This book is a revision of the WebSphere MQ for z/OS Problem Determination Guide, V5.3.1, GC34-6054-01.
